PV Excursion with a 4 year old

We are debating between an all inclusive at Now Amber food, drinks, water slide (which my son would love) for about $150 for the family or Las Caletas Hideaway for $250. I don't mind paying the extra if it's really worth it. We are looking for beach, sun and relaxation.

One of the best excursions in PV is the Marigalante pirate ship cruise with breakfast, bbq lunch, open bar, pirate show, beach time, snorkel time for those who want it, etc.  My sons loved it when I took them years ago.  It's popular with all ages for different reasons.

i was looking into las caletas with a 5 and 3 year old, but it doesn't look like they have a 48" limitation for the kids' adventure park with carnival, and neither of my children are that tall...
