Nassau - Paradise Island - 4 hours

Recommended Posts

Okay, have limited time at port in Nassau and only wanted to do two things - The Dig (and a quick look at Atlantis) and a bit of time on a beach. From reading the threads it appears that I can:

1. Exit the ship and take a cab to Atlantis

2. Go to the casino a purchase a pass to The Dig

3. Leave Atlantis and walk further east to Cabbage Beach (?)

4. Cab back to the ship.

My questions are: Since the Dig pass no longer allows beach access, is it true we can walk to a nearby beach to lounge for an hour or two? Is the Dig pass only for a guided tour or can we walk it by ourselves? Are cabs easy to come by when departing Paradise Island to return to the ship?

Thanks for any help or suggestions.

Taxis are always available. We found the cost was normally $10 for two, but if you joined with other couples, you could go for $4 each. After returning to the ship, we decided to go to Atlantis, and found ourselves in a Stretch Limo.

The Dig is self guided. You can easily spend a couple of hours there. You might not have time to find the beach.
