How close to a sailing do you think a price could still drop?

I am debating between 2 cruises sailing in February and there seems to be a lot of solo cabins available for one of them.  Probably 15-20, and since they are limited in who can book them, I was wondering if/when there may be any prices drops say a week or two before departure to fill them up.  Anyone every see a "last minute" price drop?

Prices can change right up to the day before sailing.  I was on a 20-day South America to San Francisco cruise a couple of years ago and the last week or so before sailing they were offering $999 solo for a balcony.  I didn’t get that deal, but I did meet a few people on the cruise who did.  If you see something you’re interested in, just keep checking every day.  You never know what you’ll find.

Yes, if a ship hasn't sold out, prices can and do adjust up until sailing. Often times, cabins are repriced two to three days prior to sailing, right around the time that the upgrade advantage offers are being awarded. Even if your sailing would show cabins as not available, keep checking. I just sailed Epic, 11 day, solo, inside sail away. Booked three days prior to sailing when prices cratered. One week prior $899, then $799, then $599 and finally $549.

Inventory was changing and my travel agent didn't have access to cabins that NCL did, so call NCL directly, if you are able to get through.

I havent found the pricing on the solo cabins to be very good. Often times, you can do better with a regular inside cabin - sail away rate or the next higher rate if you want a free at sea perk.

If you decide to wait though, there is a chance your sailing will sell out, in which case you'll have to start your search over. Just be prepared for that. It could happen.

Google "cruise monitoring system fish".  You can find a site which tracks historical prices....  unfortunately forum rules prevent us from just hyper linking it.

This site should answer your question about what prices have done in the past.
