Dubai question

Cruising out of Dubai port at 11pm the night we board, arriving early morning and transfer to ship all included in package, once we arrive and embark can we then get off the boat a few hours later to visit some places of interest before we set sail that night. Or do we have to stay on board all day because of muster drill, just fancied having a couple of hours off ship once we were sorted with cabins etc.

We will arrive to dubai 3 days before, and pretend to stay in the city as much as possible, I asked and was told that will be possible to board later. I heard that muster drill happens normally at 8.30 and sometimes 10.30.

No problem in getting off and many did so. The muster drill was on at 8.30 which was inconvenient as I was watching the football in sports bar and the screens went blank and bar shut!!

8.30 would be great,  our flight arriving 6 am, so time to visit the city, muster drill in the afternoon would ruin the whole day.

What time where you able to embark?
