Celebrity- Equinox- April 20, 2019 Would love to make some friends!

My partner and I will be on our second cruise together, but my 8th cruise over all.  We would love to make some friends.  I have never had much luck with the LGBTQ get togethers,  never had luck with anyone showing up.   We are a friendly couple, but can never seem to get past the "Hi, so where are you from?"  Any advise?   Anyone joining us?

I wasn't on your sailing but was searching for a G&L roll call for mine and happened across yours. My husband and I always try to coordinate either a dinner together with other travelers we meet or talk about the excursions we have planned (or are thinking about) and see if anyone wants to join in or meet up in town before/after. This helps break the ice during introductions and we've made some great friends we still see regularly from our past cruises! Hope you enjoyed your sailing!
