Purchasing Optional Excursions

When you do the purchasing of optional excursions is it best to do all the optionals you are purchasing at once or just a few at a time?

If you have researched and know what excursions you want then just book them all when it is time for you to do so.  There is no advantage that I can think of for booking a few at a time ... and for an optional excursion you run the risk of it filling up if you hesitate.  I generally book the optional ones first then go back and fill in with included ones if they are what we have decided we will do ... but this is all done in one session generally early in the day on the day we are allowed to.

Book & pay for your optionals all at once.  Not booked unless paid for.

Then book your included excursions picking you desired time where available.

Also, if one of the optionals you want is sold out, select your second choice, but continue checking My Viking Journey regularly as sometimes spots open up as Viking adds a bus or people change their plans.
