Dance Shows in Sitka

We will be in Sitka in May on the Ovation.  I would be interested in seeing either the New Archangel (Russian) Dance Show or the Tlingit Tribal Performance.  I know I could not get DH to do both!  When looking at the links provided by VisitSitka.com it looks as if the Tribal Dance is only available when booked through the ship (no public performances listed that day), in combination with the Totem Historical Park, which I am also interested in seeing.   The New Archangel Dancers do not yet have their calendar available for our time frame.  

 

Has anyone done either or both of these shows?  If so, is one recommended over the other?  And would the 2 1/2 hour ship tour for the Totem Park and the Tlingit Tribal Dance Performance be worth the price of $59.75 pp?  Thanks in advance.

Hi, 

We've seen the Archangel  dancers a couple of times and it's a nice show. It is energetic and quite interesting to watch. I haven't done the Tlingit one. The Totem Park is a nice walk from the Convention Center so don't know as I'd do it as part of a tour but we've been there a number of times!
