ceejilly Posted March 10, 2019 #1 Share Posted March 10, 2019 Hi all After a fantastic cruise around New Zealand and ending in Sydney I'm hoping for help from anyone who was on board to enlighten me about the recording playback of a male singer who sung a song whilst sailing towards and under Sydney Bridge, I wondered if it was the Australian National Anthem but am uncertain. The reason for asking is so that I can place the recording onto a video of the bridge approach.......it was such a haunting song. Thanks all in anticipation Craig

sailco Posted March 10, 2019 #3 Share Posted March 10, 2019 It may have been "I still call Australia home" originally written and recorded by Peter Allen.
ceejilly Posted March 11, 2019 Author #4 Share Posted March 11, 2019 You nailed it 'sailco', that's the song and singer......thank you so much. I'm not from Australia but listening to his song brings tears to my eyes and I can agree with the comments written on youtube that it ought to be your National Anthem, well once you become a republic I would say!!!! Just need to obtain a good copy and link it onto my video, it just fits in with sailing to and underneath the Sydney Bridge. Thanks once more Craig
