Cabo with kids for a couple hours

We are doing a cruise in a few weeks with our 13 & 8 year olds. We have a dolphin excursion booked, but won’t be picked up at the port till 2-2:30pm. We get into Cabo at 10am. Any thoughts on what to do before our excursion? Thinking beach? I have to admit, super touristy chain restaurants aren’t so much our thing. But I completely understand that our time is limited! Any thoughts or advice?

There's a lot of shopping you can do at the port!  Or just walk around and people watch, maybe?  I've only been there once, but after our snorkeling excursion, hubby and I walked around the port and visited shops, people watched, and ate.  It was fun....

Easy enough to pay for a water taxi to take you all over to lands end arch and lovers beach......not expensive and would only take maybe 1.5 hours total.....marina area is nice to walk around.

The marina area, is it just beyond the port area? Is there a decent beach option close? We don’t have FTTF or priority status, so with the tender I don’t know if we will have time to do Land’s End? We may just have to wait and see on this one.

The tender lets you off in the marina,  and lands end is a quick water taxi ride to it and lovers beach.  However Medano beach is East of marina and a water taxi is the fastest way to get there,  walking would take you half hour to forty minutes.  You can arrange for the taxi to come pick you up a a specific time.  From where your ship is anchored you can see both arches and medano beach.  Have fun.

Just google maps Cabo: Cabo San Lucas
Baja California Sur, Mexico
https://goo.gl/maps/wi9VS5e5dzr

Cabo’s is easily navigated and compact.

Pay attention when on board for when they will release tender group numbers. Grab an early number (physical tag) and you get an earlier tender position.

IIRC, the tender tags will be on deck 5 just past the casino heading aft on this ship, starboard side.

If if you’re waiting before they release the group tags at the specific location (confirm with guest services, FUN Team or the excursion desk) you’ll score a low group number as in tags 1-3.
