According to the Carnival info, embarkation begins at 1:30.

What time do most of you go to the pier?

I usually embark at lunch time (12:30 p.m.) and have lunch while everyone else is in the embarkation line. I had a steak on the Inspiration you could cut with your fork.

We are getting the entire months quota of rain in 24 hrs. the weather should be good in a couple of days. Come on down.

We have always arrived at 11:00 a.m. and got in line outside the terminal. At that time you'll see around 100 folks already in line. They usually open the terminal door at 11:00. We check in which is usually very quick this early. Then you'll sit in the waiting area and admire the ship from the large windows. They start the boarding at 12:15. Cathy

12:15 seems to be a magical number with Carnival boarding. It's the earliest I've seen. Usually wedding groups embark first, if there are any. But otherwise, the Skippers club doesn't seem to be any earlier than anyone else. Cathy

On March 14th we arrived at the pier a little before 11 a.m., found a porter to take our luggage and then proceded to check-in. We were in Group three, they started boarding at Noon and we were in our cabin at 12:15. The boarding time depends on what time they previous passengers got off the ship. When we arrived back in port on the 21st, we were getting off the ship at about the same time we got on the previous Sunday.
