Dunfer Posted April 24, 2019 #1 Share Posted April 24, 2019 Has anyone here ever booked a free casino cruise (except taxes and port charges), and canceled? Did you get your taxes and port charges back? I have several booked, and do not plan on canceling, but a friend asked me what would happen if I did, and I have no idea. It just got me wondering. schmeed Posted April 24, 2019 #2 Share Posted April 24, 2019 Legally, they have to refund the taxes and port charges. What they don't have to do is honor any future credit. That is a business decision they get to make.

maryjaden Posted April 25, 2019 #4 Share Posted April 25, 2019 I have had to cancel a comped cruise. You do get your fees and taxes back. However, they generally will not honor the comp for a future cruise.
1992cruiser Posted April 25, 2019 #5 Share Posted April 25, 2019 I just canceled a comped cruise for Nov and got taxes and port fees refunded to my card in 2 days. The agent also tried everything he could to figure out a way to get me on a different cruise. It was a jr suite Comp and he could tell I was not happy about canceling, but the offer had expired. Stupid wedding. Just some info for those that don’t know, you can combine kids sale free with the prime free cruise for 2. Just booked that yesterday. Nado44 Posted April 25, 2019 #6 Share Posted April 25, 2019 You will get a refund of all taxes and fees for any cruise that gets cancelled, comped or not. Another tidbit is that "dollars off" casino offers *can* be combined with the Crown & Anchor balcony discount.
