After 30 years on RCCL, Celebrity & Princess looks like we will try HAL. Looking at a 32 day cruise in Feb 2021 to Hawaii & South Pacific. Looking for a good size/ locations Ocean View

room. Any suggestions from someone who has been on the Rotterdam, any areas not to try, or great rooms you have had on decks 2 or 3.

Thanks

Charlie

We were on the Volendam for the Voyage of the Inca and stayed in an ocean view on the Main deck. Our cabin was 2564, which was close to both the elevators and stairs..since the Rotterdam is a sister ship, any cabin near this, should be comparable. We may see you on this cruise as we are looking at it right now ! I would also suggest that you look at the deck plans and keep them handy when talking to whomever you are booking with...just so you know what is above and below you.

Hope this helps.

I like the lower decks for a more spacious OV room, but it was nice in 3331 on Lower Promenade to be able to walk out to the promenade deck so easily, although those OV rooms (on LP) are a bit shorter and had a loveseat instead of the couch as in rooms on Dolphin and Main.  Just don't be under the galley!  Main has rooms above and below so that is a large advantage if you can swing it.   3331 has the doors to the outside so near, and the elevators so near but no noise from elevators at all.  Only one neighbor cabin, on the other side was an office.  Nice location but again about 1-2 feet shorter. Happy planning!   m--

We were on the Rotterdam for 14 days in March and had an OV cabin on deck 2. We liked it. You might find  our youtube video of that trip helpful. It is long, but it has many photos of the ship through out the video.
