What To Wear In March?

I have read a number of threads about the climate in Hawaii. Some have found the Pacific crossing cool. Others have encountered rainy weather.

I am trying to get a clearer picture for myself of what to bring in March. So here are my questions:

1. From LA to Hawaii, do I need a jacket and pants or will I be able to sit by the pool?

2. On an excursion to Waimea Falls what should I bring?

3. Going to Volcano park, clothing suggestions.

4. At Waikiki beach during the day?

5. In Honolulu in the evening?

Thanks:)

We are trying to determine the same thing about clothes in Hawaii -- we are leaving on March 26th. Based on what I've read on these boards, we have decided to take a lightly lined jacket (wind breaker type with a lining) which we may need at Volcanos National Park and probably crossing the Pacific. We are also bringing an extra pair of long pants for the Park. I think you need to layer your clothing on that day.

I've read that while in Hawaii -- it is usually in the 80's and sunny during the day and cooler in the evenings, but again, you may need long pants.

Suggest layers. It can cool off at night. We hiked the Volcano trail last year in March. Started out cool, but by the time we were on the crater, it was HOT. When hiking Waimea Falls, I wore shorts, long sleeve tshirt and a thin

windbreaker. It worked fine for me. I LOVED this hike, it was awesome!

Waikiki during the day, swimsuit!

Have a great time, I love, love Hawaii!

We just took this cruise 2 weeks ago, and our crossing was a little cool the first day...each day brought us warmer weather (by day 3 shorts). Waikiki was warm...and this was Jan., so by March you should have fantastic, warm days! Enjoy your cruise...
