Hotel Help!

Hello!

 

I am cruising on the Freedom of the Seas out of San Juan next month and am having trouble choosing a hotel.  We will be arriving around 3pm on Saturday and our cruise leaves Sunday evening.  In the time we have, we'd like to visit Old San Juan and El Morro.  I am also considering doing a half day tour Sunday morning to El Yunque with Sunset Tour.

 

Based on the time we have and the location of what we are trying to do... where should I look for a hotel?  Cruising out of Pan Am Pier and only need hotel for one night... so must not have a two night minimum.

We are staying at the Sheraton Old San Juan. No 2 night minimum. However, many hotels are already booked this close to cruise departures.

Unless you are wanting to visit OSJ both Saturday and Sunday, I would consider a hotel anywhere in Isla Verde, Condado or OSJ.  The reason-it’s a 20 minute taxi ride or less between each of these locations.  Obviously Sunday morning do your tour (assuming luggage is included) or get an early luggage check-in on your ship or even leave your luggage at Barachinas (free luggage service available 9-5 daily).

 

Cheap boutique hotels & airBnBs throughout OSJ.  Nice resort hotels along Isla Verde and Condado.  Cheaper options just off the beach.

We have stayed at the Doubletree and the Embassy Suites and would stay at both again.
