Pricing Info from Carnival on Shore Excursions- When?

I'm in the process of planning a cruise on Carnival. It has been awhile since I've been on a Carnival ship so I'm not familiar with their policies. I'm wanting to know the cost of their shore excursions but their website won't give me these costs. Does Carnival allow you to prebook shore excursions before cruising and give you info in your documents about this or do they make you wait till you are aboard ship to give you this information?

At present, you cannot prebook Carnival excursions. No exact prices on the website, other than the $/$$/$$$. There has been speculation that "online booking" will begin this summer.

The above webpage is from a TA. While the prices may be close to accurate, you cannot "book" from there.

You can call or e-mail Carnival. Give them the name of your ship and date of sailing. They will e-mail you a complete listing of excursions with the prices. I got mine in less than 24 hours after requesting. Have a great trip.

I just called Carnival yesterday about prices on 2 excursions. While they can tell you prices, they can't guarantee which excursions will be offered on your cruise and you can't prebook them. It would be great if that changes soon.

Thanks so much for all your replies. I too hope Carnival starts prebooking on its website. I've done this on Princess and it was so much easier than doing it on the ship. Helps give you a more complete idea of the cost of the cruise too.
