Reserving shows ahead of cruise

We are booked on the Joy in October and can now book some of the shows. It looks like when we go to book online we can only book for people in our stateroom. Since we are traveling with a larger group, if we all book separately will we still be able to sit together?  Haven’t done a ship where we had to reserve entertainment so want to make sure the group won’t get split up.

 

Im curious for the standard footloose/elements show as well as the upcharge wine musical.

Seats are unallocated, so just turn up together and all sit together.

On a family cruise yrs ago , we had confirmation for 8 to see the show but seating was up to us. The only time we needed my PCC was when we saw the Cirque show. We need to put 4 cabins ,8 people , to 1 reservation at 1 table..
