cheshyrkat Posted January 26, 2006 #2 Share Posted January 26, 2006 I haven't cruised on any RC ships...I am not sure what it is that you enjoy in a cruise, so it's hard for me to tell you whether or not you will be disappointed. I can tell you that Conquest is a large, well-kept ship that I thoroughly enjoyed. I recommend you bring a copy of the deck plans to help you get from point A to point B...Not all the decks can be walked straight through and not all the elevators access every deck either. I was happy with Conquest...I booked her again for later this year!
Jasonsterling Posted January 26, 2006 #3 Share Posted January 26, 2006 I have really loved the Conquest both times I sailed her. She is a truly remarkable ship and my favorite so far. I've never been RCL but I know the large RCL ships do have numerous daytime activities missing from the Conquest. I'm thinking of things like the Rock Climbing Wall, Ice Skating Rink, Minature Golf ect. If you really enjoyed those and took great advantage of them you may miss them on this cruise. The trade off is Carnival's room are larger (by a bit) and there are many things to do at night that are well attended and festive. I've never heard of any real differences between food, service ect. With the exception that people seem to enjoy the food on Carnival ships a little better it seems but I mostly read Canrival boards so that may account for that bias- LOL I hope whatever you chose you have a wonderful vacation!
