SSeaman Posted April 16, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 16, 2004 I was on the shore excursion page, I did not see anyplace to book these in advance. Am I missing something or does this have to be done once on board? jennifervail Posted April 16, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 16, 2004 Carnival doesn't offer online booking at this time. You've gotta do it on board, at the excursion desk. Some of the newer ships have a system where you can order your excursions from the tv in your cabin. Perhaps Victory is one of them, but I'm not 100% on that. Supposedly Carnival is supposed to offer online excursion booking this summer, but no dates set in stone yet for that feature. Keep your eyes peeled! Catrin Posted April 16, 2004 #5 Share Posted April 16, 2004 If you go to the Ports of Call section on cruise critic.. there is a lot of information on independent excursions that you can book online... Since you are going to the Western.. there are so many awesome independent tours to choose from! We booked everything online last year.. and saved us a lot of money. Plus, it was a more personal experience. This year, we are taking it easy.. and just going to the beaches on our own. quadsquad Posted April 16, 2004 #6 Share Posted April 16, 2004 We booked two out of three of our shore excusions online and spent alot less and had a better experience than through the ship. (we just got off the Carnival Triumph last week and had a super time- I hope to give a day to day summary if I have time) Where are you going? someone said western, if they mean Carribean then I would book through Cozumel Insider for some things but we found a car rental place that we got a car for $26 a day- cheaper than a taxi!!!
