Port Everglades to FLL--How much is taxi?

I understand taxis are metered in Ft. Lauderdale. But can someone tell me the approximate fare from the port back to FLL airport?

Roughly approximately about $10-12 or so, but it varies greatly as to where your ship is docked... Port Everglades is adjacent to FLL, but the port facility is VERY large.

Was that the metered rate? We're you stuck in any traffic? Was the security gate backed up? Extra luggage? That seems quite high, usually it's a low of $8 to a high of $12

That was the metered rate - only 2 of us - no extra luggage and not stuck in traffic. Also took what I think is the quickest way.

Just back from the Coral and the fare was $12.10 for 2 people.
