Buying leather jackets in Caribbean??

I purchased a 3/4 length black leather coat from Roger's Boots. I know that Roger's has locations at Costa Maya and in Cozumel.

The coats were represented as made in Mexico. I would prefer to believe that is the case! :)

I think I paid about $100 for the coat. It is a very soft leather that has not cracked or worn. 2 years later, it has been a terrific buy. My wife constantly reminds me that she wants a similar one on our next trip to Mexico.

The leather goods that do not have a name brand on them at Roger's seem to be very well made quality items (backpacks, wallets, purses, coats, and boots, although I have no interest in those, I could be way off base there). They do sell knock-off Dooney and Bourke purses which really are not all that attractive. Stick to the local stuff and you should find some nice items.
