What kind of snorkel to buy?

Sorry, I'm sure this info is on here but I've searched and searched and can't find it. I'm a snorkeling novice. Snorkeled once in the freezing water near Cabo, and I LOVED it even though it was cold and there were very few fish! I want to buy a snorkel for our Western Carribean cruise and I don't know anything about them. Do I need a dry snorkel? Semi dry? Help!

If you're a novice I'd go with the dry version. It will make the experience more enjoyable. You won't have to worry about swallowing any water during your excursions. There isn't that much difference in size or weight. They are slightly more expensive.
