abbypa Posted January 29, 2006 #1 Share Posted January 29, 2006 i need all of your expert cruisers. my husband and i have been on two cruises by our selves. we both had early and late seating for dinner. my daughter {16} will be with us for our up coming cruise in jan. my question is, we perfer late seating but, will this time interfere with the evening activities for the teens? thanks for all your help:)
canucks4 Posted January 29, 2006 #2 Share Posted January 29, 2006 We prefer late dining simply because it feels too rushed to eat at 6:15. I'd like a leisurely balcony drink watching the sun go down. It also lets the kids relax after swimming and having late afternoon snacks of pizza! Plus it kills some evening time having a later dinner, rather than having them lounge around too long in the teens area. It's fine for an hour or so, but after that, it's just another hangout. For older teens, there is not much "organized" to miss. Don't get me wrong, the AO program is great, but a little hit/miss for some of the older kids. kenandlaura06 Posted January 29, 2006 #3 Share Posted January 29, 2006 I think the later seating is better, personally.
melbchick Posted January 29, 2006 #4 Share Posted January 29, 2006 I agree with everyone else....I think you all would be happier (daughter included) with the late seating. That way too you won't have to rush on your excursion days to get back, shower and get to the early dinner. She'll have plenty to do after late seating and you all won't feel rushed. Have a great trip
cheezwhiz Posted January 29, 2006 #5 Share Posted January 29, 2006 I have 2 teenagers and we prefer the early seating....it gets Dinner out of the way and it seems we are together for dinner.
golfpi Posted January 29, 2006 #6 Share Posted January 29, 2006 Late seating makes it a little difficult to enjoy the midnight buffet.
