Hi There!

WE are leaving for the Mexican Riviera (ports of Manzanillo, Puertp Vallarta, Mazatlan, and Cabo San Lucas) in about 10 days. Some of the things I think we would like to do are:

go whale watching....where is the best location to do that?

glass bottom boat tour...where is the best tour for this excursion?

turtle farms...where?

Just to note we also have two small boys (5 years and 2 years) that would love to accompany us on these tours so hopefully they are kid friendly????

Also are they any other recommended things to do?

Cabo San Lucas for the Glass Bottom Boat

Puerto Vallarta for Whale Watching - for kid-friendly make sure to take a big boat, not a little panga or zodiac. It's just safer that way.

The Sea Turtle nesting season is July through early December - you'll be out of luck on that portion of the Sea Turtle experience. In Puerto Vallarta there is a reptile adventure where you can see and learn about sea turtles, iguanas, and crocodiles, though. Very kid friendly.

I donot agree with Johan and Sandra about a bigger boat in P. Vallarta.

We have sailed 3 times with "Open-air-expeditions" they sail with a 12-persons Zodiac.

It is the best way to see whales as they can sail rather fast when a whale is spotted. It feels like a personal tour.

Of course they comply with all security-matters, incl. (kids) life-vests for all etc. check them on: www.vallartawhales.com

There are very strict rules for companys making whaleswatch tours, not only regarding the passengers, but also towards the whales.

This link gives those details, you will see Open-air is also one of them.

In Cabo you can take a watercab/glassbottom boat tour (abt. 1 hour) to Seal Rock, Lands End etc.
