on board credit for rooms

my husband and i both have casino deal with on board credit of $500 if i book a room and he books a room and we each share with a friend can we somehow get him and myself in one room and friends in the other how do we switch room keys I have heard of others doing this

I guess you heard only half the story? Book in the way you get the best deal, then when you get to the ship switch rooms. They rely don't mind where you sleep. They'll give you a new card to open the correct room. Make sure that all of you go at once.
