MIA Hotels: Pier Shuttle??

We plan to stay at a hotel near the airport; are there any airport hotels that provide shuttle service to the pier??

 

OR, are there any hotels (any location) that would provide both shuttle service pick-up at the airport and drop-off at the pier??

Not anywhere that's even remotely nice. I think a couple of dumps in the bad neighborhood NE of the airport do, but they're quite nasty places... Shuttles are NEVER a reason to book a hotel. In South Florida the majority of hotels with "free" shuttles have them because they have nothing else going for them. In other words, most are dumps... AND the shuttles at the few places that do have them rarely work as promised. In many cases people end up giving up and taking cabs anyway.

 

If you want to stay near the airport, the nicer airport hotels are in the "Blue Lagoon" area on the south side of the airport. Most people prefer to stay in downtown Miami the night before their cruise however.

Trent...... really appreciate the information; since I arrive late in the evening, guess I'll get something at the "Blue Lagoon" and then take a cab to the pier the next morning -- well, with my three hours time difference, it will probably be around noon:cool:

That's probably your best bet if you arrive late. The airport hotels have "free" airport shuttles, then a cab from the airport area down to the port will cost $24.

Summerfield Suites does provide transport to pier for an additional fee. I found this thru Park Sleep & Fly; they also have fly/cruise packages.
