Cabin Assignmnets

Okay I am going to ask what I am sure is a very general question, but could someone tell me what the designations of the cabin categories means. Such as I know that a 4A inside is about the lowest you can get other than the 1A. And from reading on the boards that at cat. 11 or 12 are about the best you can get. But I am confused on the in between.

Your best bet is to go to the Carnival website and check the differences. Some are just deck differences and some are porthole vs window vs balcony, etc.

6 - Outside

7 - Obstructed View

8 - Balcony (not suite)

11/12- Suite

Yes and no (how's that for a clear answer...)

 

It really depends upon the class. For example a 8H and 8I are both balcony cabins on the Panorama deck of the Pride, but the 8H has a 40-sq-ft balcony, while the 8I has a 60-sq-ft balcony.

 

As dtchem1 mentioned, your best bet is to either take a look on Carnival's web site, or on a travel site like Expedia or Travelocity, etc. Look up the ship, then the cabins for descriptions, then the decks for the deck plans.
