Miami Hotels

Does anyone know of a good hotel in Miami that allows you to leave your car (safely)? When we sailed out of Port Canaveral the hotel had a secure area for vehicles and it was included if you spent the night.

Thanks

The Sheraton Biscayne Bay has a secure parking garage. It is about $18/day however.

Is parking at the port out of the question for you? We parked right at the port in Ft. Lauderdale. Garage was only a few steps to the boat. Dropped bags off with porter and then parked the car.

Just got the Hyatt Regency Downtown Miami for $40.00, May 22nd through priceline.

Of course parking at the port is not out of the question. Parked there when we sailed out of Port Everglades. However, the hotel in Port Canaveral offered free parking if you stayed with them. Took a local shuttle over. Picked up the car when we got back and was on the road. Just looking for the best deal.

Ouch! Parking $20.00 a night at the Hyatt. Good thing I'm only staying one night.

Mike508- I think someone posted something like yours in the Port of Call section. I was also looking around in Miami for free shuttles. Someone posted that the hotel shuttles take forever on cruise day because of the amount of families using the service. Maybe, someone has replied with another suggestion. Good Luck and have a great cruise.

Free hotel shuttles to the port are a nightmare. It doesn't matter that you may have talked to the desk and reserved one. It is a battle of the fittest and only the strong survive. The cab fare from any of the downtown Miami hotels to the ship should be around $10 or even less. It's not far at all.

The taxi fare from the Miami airport to the Radisson is approximately $20.00. The Radisson did not have a shuttle from the airport in January. They had a shuttle to the port which cost $4.00 pp. It was no hassle to get the shuttle to the port. Talk to the people at the front desk for more info about the shuttle to the port.
