Overnight in Port Canaveral Excursions

Our trip has a overnight docking in Port Canaveral and we would like to visit Universal. It seems, the NCL Universal excursion is 6 hours long. We would like a longer visit. On the overnights sailing is there a longer Universal excursion? Does anyone know of a local shuttle to Universal from Port Canaveral? I can only locate a shuttle to the Orlando airport. The husband is wanting to rent a car and do the trip on our own but I just want to know our options.

Your only options to go longer than an excursion is 1) rent a car or 2) take an uber/taxi.
