bdjam Posted February 26, 2006 #27 Share Posted February 26, 2006 Better change the name to FOBM-friends of Bette Midler-to avoid confusion. Obviously no understanding of gay culture. :(
MoonPet Posted February 27, 2006 #28 Share Posted February 27, 2006 My husband and I were wondering who Bill W. was (and how he had so many friends). I never made the connection to a support group. I think it is great that they offer the meetings on board.
Paulras Posted February 27, 2006 #29 Share Posted February 27, 2006 My husband and I were wondering who Bill W. was (and how he had so many friends). I never made the connection to a support group. I think it is great that they offer the meetings on board. Bill W was the founder of Alcoholics Anonymous. I think the idea of having the support group onboard is great considering cruises tend to bring out the drinking side of all of us more than we would at home. On the lighter side of the subject. I have noticed stupid scheduling issues on past cruises that have to make you grin. Like the cruiseline scheduling the meetings in a meeting room connected to the lounge. Or having a wine tasting or mixology class scheduled almost immediately following Bill W meetings.
