RWT Posted October 23, 2019 #1 Share Posted October 23, 2019 Just received notice that the 33 day cruise of of Singapore has been cancelled and you must re-book on another cruise, including the 29 day cruise. This makes no sense as we already have an assigned cabin. But since there are hardly any cabins available, there's none to book. We also lost the free gratuities as this "3 for free" promotion doesn't apply to interior cabins, at least as far as the gratuities are concerned. Couldn't get any answer as to room credits. Absolutely ridiculous how Princess is handling this. We have three more Princess cruises booked, including a 28 day South Pacific in April of 2020, a March and November 7 day cruise as well. You have until November 20 (through Costco at least) to decide however the 3 for Free promotion ends October 31, which was a big incentive to book. Really disappointed in Princess. Rare flying boat Posted October 23, 2019 #2 Share Posted October 23, 2019 I got the same email from Costco and agree Princess is handling it terribly. I ended up booking the 29 day as back to back cruises to get the same category (ow) and pricing I had on the 33 day. It seems like Princess sold the cancelled rooms before they notified anyone of the cancellation!
kunnocat Posted October 24, 2019 #3 Share Posted October 24, 2019 I think you will find that the cabin you booked for the 33 days is yours till the end of the the 30 days, then they will assume you don't want the 29 day cruise and will release it. You have to physically cancel the 33 days, then rebook the same cabin. bit complicated as they then release it and you buy it back. You will need to speak to someone, and not do it online. Rare flying boat Posted October 24, 2019 #4 Share Posted October 24, 2019 I spent over an hour on the phone with Costco TA who was on the phone with Princess, was told only available cabins on 29 day were a higher category and would cost about $800 more per person.
