MszKitty Posted February 1, 2006 #1 Share Posted February 1, 2006 I've been a CC member for a while now and as you can see by my signature, we've been on a few cruises. On CC, I've been involved in roll calls, and general discussions and over the years, I've gotten great advice and information on ports/tours/excursions, etc. But its always been in preparation for a CRUISE. However, next month DH, 20 yr old DD, & I are taking a 6 night land trip to Italy. So, just as I would do for a cruise, I've been doing a lot of research preparing for this trip and tonight it just dawned on me to check out this CC board for information and advice on Italy. Its like..."Duh!" Why didn't I think of it before? Thanks to all that have posted such detailed information regarding Italy. You have been a great help! mountainhouse Posted February 1, 2006 #2 Share Posted February 1, 2006 Yes, lots of info for cities the ship's stop at, but a little thin on other places. Be sure to check out http://www.slowtrav.com/ . It's been helpful in us planning to go to Cinque Terre and the Milan area. Of course, Rick Steves' Graffiti Wall is good too. Have fun! Susan-M Posted February 1, 2006 #8 Share Posted February 1, 2006 Thanks for the info! :) I was wondering if there was a site for the non-cruisers. Another one I like is http://www.tripadvisor.com - the forums are great, and hotels reviews are a big help when trying to decide on a hotel to stay in.
