HstTeacher Posted February 1, 2006 #1 Share Posted February 1, 2006 I'm cruising on the Valor leaving March 19th and am trying to decide what to do in Roatan. We'd like to do something water related. Have any of you heard any feedback about this excursion? I'd love to have time with the dolphins and then do some snorkling afterwards. Do any of you know if its possible to snorkle from shore at Tabyana beach? Thanks in advance for your response!
Hootsie Posted February 1, 2006 #2 Share Posted February 1, 2006 Do any of you know if its possible to snorkle from shore at Tabyana beach? It is an awesome place to snorkel!!!! It is part of the 2nd largest barrier reef in the world. We saw a ton of great fish, octopus, etc... We used to live on Okinawa and this was just as good as that. You will LOVE it. JSCruiser Posted February 1, 2006 #3 Share Posted February 1, 2006 We really enjoyed the Dolphin Encounter. We did not do the beach day, but the beach looked awesome. When we took the Dolphin Encounter excursion last February, in addition to the "professional" photographs they took, they allowed you to take your own pictures. So, you don't have to spend extra money on their pictures if you have a little confidence in your own photography skills. You can view and purchase their pictures in the gift shop at the end of the excursion if you want. We didn't and as it turned out, ours turned out just as nice as theirs did. Have a great time! 4me-itstheC Posted February 1, 2006 #4 Share Posted February 1, 2006 Hi! DH & I did this excursion about a year ago when we were on the Valor. We both felt it was the highlight of our cruise! Saw lots of people snorkling off the shore! Go for it- you will not regret!!
