lg rover Posted February 1, 2006 #1 Share Posted February 1, 2006 We will be on the Zuiderdam in March 2006. We will be in port from 8- 11p and plan to visit St. John wondering if after a tour of the island if it is possible to be dropped at the Westin or Caneel Bay for perhaps lunch, drinks, swim. I know I did this many years ago took ferry from Tortola where I was staying and met friends from cruise at Cruz Bay, then taxied to Caneel Bay. We had lunch, drinks, toured, swam and shopped in their store. Thanks
Betsy's Mom Posted February 1, 2006 #2 Share Posted February 1, 2006 If Caneel is not fully booked you can eat lunch in the Terrace Dinning area. It is a buffett and normally it is no problem at that time of year. It is a wonderful buffett. You can swim on the beach in front of the dinning area, but you can not use the chairs, even if you pay. You can not walk the grounds other than to and from the beach area, you will be stopped and escorted off the property. They will be glad to sell you anything in the Gift Shop! It is a beautiful property and makes a lovely excursion. When we have guests visit us it is one of our favorite places to go. There are always taxis at the parking area to return you to the Cruz Bay ferry. I have not been to the Westin in several years and do not know what their policy is. Hope this helps.:) B.
