Galveston - Priority Boarding vs. Arrival Appointment?

So the Upsell Fairy called me this morning and offered to upgrade the family from our 8A to a Family Harbor Suite for $600  ($200pp) on tomorrow’s Vista 7-nighter out of Galveston.  Given that this would make the total price for 3 of us in a suite less than I think I’d ever be able to get a suite for in the future, we took the deal.

 

Our updated cruise documents say we still have an arrival appointment of 1-1:30 PM, but I understand that suite passengers get priority embarkation (new cruise docs also say “boarding zone: priority”).  So how early could we realistically arrive at the terminal in Galveston tomorrow and reasonably expect to sail through and board quickly?

 

Will our suite be ready early like for Diamonds and FTTF?  Or should we plan on schlepping our non-checked bags until 1:30 or so?

You can arrive at any time, though I wouldn’t go any earlier than 10 or 10:30. Boarding usually starts at 11 or 11:30, and you will have priority boarding. Your room will not be ready when you board, however. Only Diamonds, Platinums and FTTF get that perk.
