Taxi to Airport car rental

We are a family of 9, we will be on island 12/26 for the day. Is it feasible to rent a vehicle from the airport and taxi to the airport? All locations near port are sold out.

Check with Advance car rental before renting from the airport. 

You would have to taxi to and from the airport which would probably cost more than a car rental.

Thank you I am actually just seeing this reply, I have checked with Advance but he said with it being Holiday he wouldldn't do a 1 day rental. Thats why I wondered about the airport rentals.

Advance seem to have a few tricks up their sleeves. Check out my comment on another thread about my experience with them just to book.

Still debating about going with them since they are the "most convenient" around port, it seems.

Thank you for the information. I am now thinking of doing a day pass just because it’s holiday when we will be there. Still unsure though.
