Man everything except the Strawberry bisque sounds good. I think the best is the great sleep you get in that cold, dark room. WOW. I also love the vegas shows, casino, eating, eating, oh not washing all the dishes.

The Strawberry Bisque is to die for!

THE SHORT VERSION: Sharing Italy with our 3 kids...knowing it will be the memory of a lifetime.

THE LONG VERSION: I first went to Italy with my hubby in 1986 (BK - before kids) with his parents (no cruise-just land). To see things you have only "seen" in history books is amazing. We have always talked about taking our 3 kids to Italy when they would be old enough to remember it. Hubby still has aunts/uncles/cousins in Rome (and is 100% Italian). This is a vacation of a lifetime for our family (We are cruising on the Freedom for 12 days on the Med. in June 2007).

Our kids are now 19,16 and 13 and to share this beautiful country (and their heritage) with them is priceless! Yes, there are now braces, car payments/insurance, college tuition bills...always something else to spend the money on. But being smart enough to realize "now" is the time and somehow you "find" the money. Too many people we know have unexpectedly died or gotten ill/have cancer, etc. (we're only in our mid-40s). We have talked about this for years and finally it will be a reality! Our kids are so excited (it takes alot to make teenagers excited:) ). My oldest is taking Italian 101 in college now so he's ready for June!! They took/are taking Spanish in H.S. I told them they can be our guide in Barcelona.

Soon enough there will be real jobs, first apartments, serious girlfriends...other commitments. Now we have our children all to ourselves before they leave the nest for good. Where does the time go???
