The invoice may have showed the full discount, but RC deducts the balcony discount from the fake base price and then applies the fake sale discount, so the effect is that you do not get the full balcony discount.  If they would apply the fake discount first and then deduct the balcony discount, you would get the full value of the balcony discount.

 

Carol, please disregard this, it appears Royal has changed the order of how they apply the balcony discount.

Every once in a while they surprise us. 

 

The last big plus that I remember was when they converted the balcony discount to Canadian . The balcony discount on a 7 day cruise booked 6 months in advance is $300 CDN.  They never used to convert it and it would be $225 CDN even though the cruise cost was much higher because of the exchange rate.
