Wedding Anniversary

Recommended Posts

My husband and I are taking our first cruise this April 30th on the Mariner.

We will be celebrating our 5th Wedding Anniversary while we're onboard.

Any ideas for special things we can do?

Also, does/will the cruise line do anything fun or exciting for us?

Thanks for any help! :)

There will be a honeymooners/anniversary party. You might not get a private invitation, but watch the Daily Compass and the time and location will be listed.

You can also ask to celebrate your special day by letting your waiter know. You can "order" an anniversary cake for something like $6.95, or just do an impromptu celebration and ask your waiter to put a candle on the dessert of your choice. The wait staff will come over and embarass you by singing "Appie Versaree to you, appie Versaree to you, appie versaree, appie versaree, appie versaree to you!!!!!"

Other than that, don't expect anything from RCCL, but there are some nice gift items you can order at the Gifts and Gear site at RCCL. I ordered $25 worth of casino chips to be delivered to our cabin with a note to hubby stating I was "Glad we gambled on each other, happy anniversary". The casino chip option isn't listed on the website, but you can call and order them.

Happy Anniversary and Bon Voyage.

You can take champagne on...just ask your room steward to ice it and get you glasses...you can also get chocolate covered strawberries from room service.

Make reservations for the specialty resturaunt for a table for two....

You could get each other a gift.....either a nice one or a funny on one of the islands and place it on the pillow that night....

Taking a stoll on the promenade at night, alone looking at the stars and talking about your time together and what it has mean't.......oh god I'm getting teary!!!!

Have a great celebration

Wishing you a great cruise and a wonderful anniversary. You can make it as romantic as you wish. We celebrated out 25th last year on our first cruise, and loved every minute of it. As others have said you can order champagne, chocolate covered strawberries etc., book one of the speciallity restaurants and have a lovely meal for two, order the cake, that is nice. If you get a chance you must try the Couples Rasul treatement in the spa, that is a lot of fun and can be as romantic as you wish. Have a great time.

Thanks so much for all the great tips!

Chocolate covered strawberries has been our 'thing' since our wedding night, so I am glad to know we will be able to get them on the ship. Should I order that beforehand or just wait till we get aboard?

And a private dinner for two would be ideal.

I can't wait!! How fun! :D
