shore excursions purchased on shore?

Carnival conquest shows lots of excursions for Montego Bay, but none that really take in touring the island? any ideas will be appreciated. We sail

4/23/06 from Galveston.

I'd jump on over to the Ports of Call boards for Jamaica here on CC... There are alot of tours and guides you can hire privately that will give you alot more choices and most likely be about 30-50% cheaper than choosing an excursion through Carnival.
