Tip on shore ex?

I have booked all our shore excursions through the cruise line. Do I give tips to the people conducting them? If so, then how much?

Some do, some don't. I think it's really up to you.

We tip depending on the situation. If someone just drives us from here to there, no. If that same driver is adding something to our trip, points of interest etc. yes we drop a couple of bucks in the tip bucket.

Yes, please do, give a few dollars, depending how good your guide and/or driver is.

I know these guys really earn not that much. Tips are often part of the salary.

Of course it would be better to raise the salaries, but then prices for excursions have to go up.....

I thought it was 10%,, a 60 euro tour in Rome would mean a 6 euro tip.

 

Reading the Independent Tour sites on the net indicates the Guide and Driver works for tips mainly.

 

I think thats a fare gratutity.
