Anyone out there that has flown from Phoenix to Venice? I know I can fly British Airways to Heathrow nonstop, but we have to switch airport and go to Gatwick to fly to Venice if we stay on British. Does anyone know of flights out of Heathrow to Venice and what airlines. Thanks for your help.

I just looked at the Bristish Airways schedule for your travel itinerary. You may be spending an overnight in England to take your flight into Heathrow and departing the next day from Gatwick. Having flown standby as a retiree of American Airlines you look into many travel details.

You may want to consider flying American (AA) from Phoenix (PHX) to Dallas/Ft.Worth (DFW) and then American to Gatwick (LGW) connecting the same day on British Airways (BA) to Venice (VCE). Your itinerary would be PHX/DFW/LGW/VCE. Note that American Airlines and British Airways are One World alliance partners and all ticketing and baggage transfers are seamless.

PS - If I come across any alternatives I'll send you a reply.
