Entertainment-pre show fun vs showtime

Hello. I am a first-time Carnival cruiser and am going on the Magic on Sunday. I have seen copies of showtimes posted on CC. I was wondering if I should plan to be at the venue in time for the “pre-show fun” in order to get a good seat for the main show. Thanks for your help!

To get a prime seat, we get there about 30 min prior to showtime

Agreed - 30 minutes prior to showtime.  Ground floor is the best view IMO. 

 

Some of those pre-show fun things are actually fun.  Especially liked the 80's show with the pop-up's.

The pre-show fun depends on the show. For the rock shows, they have people dressed up that you can take pictures with and they do face painting for the kids. For the movie song show, there is a magic trick. It's different for every show.
