lawsoncd3 Posted February 6, 2006 #2 Share Posted February 6, 2006 You'll have a blast. What's the saying: kids are like the ocean, don't turn your back on them... Have fun. Relax. Enjoy the company, food, and sights. Write back and tell us all about it. Dona
Let'sGo! Posted February 6, 2006 #3 Share Posted February 6, 2006 Sorry, you're not there yet, because I'm going on Rhapsody the week before you and I'm not there yet!!! You will love that ship. It truly has the friendliest staff and passengers. It's my 3 time on her! Ann
LLSullie Posted February 7, 2006 Author #4 Share Posted February 7, 2006 My mom is freakin' me out  Do I need to buy clothes for the dining room? She said there is a "dress code". Not sure if it's Royal Caribbean or hers! ;)
hstrybuf Posted February 7, 2006 #5 Share Posted February 7, 2006 My mom is freakin' me out  Do I need to buy clothes for the dining room? She said there is a "dress code". Not sure if it's Royal Caribbean or hers! ;) Could be a bit of both. ;) Royal does have a suggested dress code for each "type" of night. Formal means gowns, cocktail dresses, nice pants suits for women, tuxes and suits for men. Other nights slacks, capris, dresses for the women, slacks and polo shirts for the men. If you look on the website for RCI, it will outline it better. LLSullie, you're in for the time of your lives! :D
LLSullie Posted February 7, 2006 Author #6 Share Posted February 7, 2006 As much as I hate to say it, we will probably pass on the formal nights in the dining room. My kids are not about to get all gussied up on a vacation. :p I'll need to travel on my own for that one. However I do need to find a bathing suit. Been a long time ...
Let'sGo! Posted February 7, 2006 #7 Share Posted February 7, 2006 You don't exactly have to wear a tux on formal night... the kids might like it because the waiters put on their Sunday best and it's all very chic-chic. Of all the cruises I've been on, Rhapsody (all 3 times) has been the least formal on formal night. If the kids of nice dress pants and a button down shirt they'll pass for formal night. anankae Posted February 8, 2006 #8 Share Posted February 8, 2006 I'm going to be on Rhapsody in August, just me and my 17 year old daughter. Provided your mom isn't too terribly strict, you'll have a great time.
