Disneycruiser#1 Posted April 27, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 27, 2004 Leaving on the Sensation May 1 for my annual Mommie's only trip. We are staying at the Marriot connected to the TPA airport. Is a taxi the best way to get to the port and at what time should we leave the hotel for the port? Are there a lot of taxi's waiting at the port to head back to the TPA airport and what is a estimate of taxi charge each way? Next Leaving on a 4 day Fantasy cruise with my family end of May. It will be my son's 3rd birthday, I had the TA notify CCL but will they "bring a cake" or something? How much is parking on Port Canaveral? We usually stay and park at the Radisson but don't feel like dealing with the mad rush this year ). On the Fantasy how many pools for kids are there and 3 year olds are allowed that are potty trained??? Are the pools child friendly? Thanks for any help!!! Tropicalconcrete Posted April 27, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 27, 2004 I would ask Carnival if they can get you on one of there shuttles from the airport to the pier. There are always Cartnival people in the airport picking up other paasengers. Worth a try. christhree Posted April 27, 2004 #3 Share Posted April 27, 2004 Never flown into Tampa...so can't really answer that part....In MIA, its a $28 cab ride and 15 mins to pier from where we stay. We're on vacation, right? LOL And tons of cabs at disembarkation..but think fast and move to one..Most times people just mill around undecided out there... And never been on Fantasy, but assuming its like the rest I'd say 1 actual kiddie pool...however the other pools also have a ton of kids in floaties...Kid friendly, salt water, and alot of splashing, LOL. Have fun !!! pmc7704 Posted April 27, 2004 #5 Share Posted April 27, 2004 In Tampa, taxis will be plentiful. There is a flat rate charge of $20 per taxi , (not per person) for transport between airport and pier. Not a bad deal, and takes less than 1/2 hour Pat Caribe - too far back to remember Holiday - July 1988 Princess Dawn - May 1995 Tropicale - June 2000 Sensation - June 2001 Grand Princess - July 2002 Inspiration - Oct 2003 'til the PRIDE Til The Partae Pirates Sail From Tampa
