larie Posted February 8, 2006 #1 Share Posted February 8, 2006 Where are the nativeway docks in relation to Sea Grape beach? We are thinking of going there after the rays/coral trip. Will they drop us there? What time zone is Grand Cayman on? Does Carnival list their port time the same as the island time?
Rare Buffettfan 225 Posted February 12, 2006 #2 Share Posted February 12, 2006 Right now in Feb. it is my understanding the time zone is the same as East Coast. Here is a link to the world clock - http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/city.html?n=377 We wil be sailing April 4th to Grand caymen (just days after "spring ahead for daylight saving) This is a post I received from Capt. marvin for our stingray tour April 4th: We are on Eastern Standard time, so if your ship is on Eastern Daylight time (which starts the weekend before you arrive), your ship's time will be one hour AHEAD of local time. If your ship arrives here at 7 AM local time, you would be able to take our early trip at 8:30, with check-in no later than 8 AM local time (9 AM ship's time if it's on Daylight time). Confusing yes? Just takes planning.
larie Posted February 12, 2006 Author #3 Share Posted February 12, 2006 I e-mailed nativeway and asked if they could drop us at Sea Grape beach after the stingray/coral excursion. They said yes. I don't know where their dock is but captain marvins is near this beach. Perhaps they both go to the same dock. The other 2 cruiselines we have been on post their port time the same as the local island time. I don't know about Carnival but have the same question, as well. If you find out, please post it. Perhaps a call to Carnival would help, if you got someone with experience.
