What to do with cameras etc. while snorkeling off beach?

Greetings.

 

I'm wondering if anyone has a good idea about what to do with a camera bag (18"x10"x10") when snokeling from the beach. I don't want to leave $5000 of equipment sitting there. Are there places you can leave or lock up your stuff on certain beaches or at hotels or restaurants?

 

Any tips would be great. TIA

Dave, what ports are you visiting? Some beaches/snorkeling locations have lockers you can rent to store stuff while you're in the water.

We'll be on Aruba, Curacao, St. Maarten, and St.Thomas/St. John. I guess we'll have to look for those facilities where they're available.
