Question for anyone who has cruised out of Seattle

We will be cruising to Alaska in June. We're looking for the best way to get back to the airport after the cruise to pick up a rental car. It will be the 4th of July when we return. I don't know if there are any car rentals at the waterfront and don't expect any open on Sunday, July 4. Do any car rental companies send shuttles to the waterfront? Cathy

There are definitely places to rent a car closer to the waterfront than going all the way to the airport. You should check with the different rental agencies. Hertz now has locations in many Ford dealerships. Instead of using Expedia etc. to book a rental car, check on www.hertz.com or on Budget or any other car rental agencies website. You can then see where all their locations are, and also see when they are open.

Downtown Seattle has several places to rent cars. They are much closer than the airport. I can't remember which one we used, but it was just a hole in the wall and yet, a big name. Nancy
