junglecat Posted June 26, 2020 #1 Share Posted June 26, 2020 HELP!!!! Our September cruise was cancelled by Carnival and we chose to cruise again in the future. We just got an email indicating we were being penalized our $99.00 per passenger nonrefundable deposit. There are 2 of us. What?????? I didn't cancel, they did. What am I missing here? Please tell me when we rebook we wont have to pay another deposit? In hoping what little money we have left will be enough to cover a deposit. Clarasgrandma Posted June 26, 2020 #2 Share Posted June 26, 2020 It is an automated email that doesn't reflect reality. You won't be charged a penalty per John Heald. Just ignore that and when you go to rebook, you won't be charged any penalty.
ReidRGetALife Posted June 26, 2020 #3 Share Posted June 26, 2020 Yes, you will have to pay the deposit on the re-booked cruise. However, the "penalty" will be applied to your new cruise so you're not losing money, you just have to do another deposit.
