candaceandjason Posted February 9, 2006 #1 Share Posted February 9, 2006 We will be on the Conquest in June, and will have to fly back to Mississippi. We were wondering if we would be able to get the liquor (that we buy in port or on the ship) back to MS? Can we pack it and take it on the plane? Will we have to ship it to ourselves??? candaceandjason Posted February 9, 2006 Author #3 Share Posted February 9, 2006 Is there a limit to how much you can take on the plane?
VentureMan_2000 Posted February 9, 2006 #4 Share Posted February 9, 2006 I prefer to bring the booze in my carry-ons as they don't check the weight of these, but you are limited to 50 lbs for checked luggage. You can bring as much as you like... there are no rules against transporting booze in your, or as your, luggage. You just can't drink any of it in the Jet's cabin. Standard carry-on rules still apply.

I've taken about 12 bottles back home, but the airline DID check the alcohol level content. Go on the airlines website and it'll state what alcohol level is not allowed. CoasterJoe Posted February 9, 2006 #6 Share Posted February 9, 2006 According to the TSA you can bring up to 5 liters of alcohol with you as a carry on and it has to be under a certin proof, and as stated before you can't drink it on the plane. zydecocruiser Posted February 9, 2006 #7 Share Posted February 9, 2006 On the other hand Tejas still has archaic liquor laws. Much like smuggling booze on board the ship, pretty much everyone ignores them.
Las Vegas Non Rev Posted February 10, 2006 #8 Share Posted February 10, 2006 I work for an airline and just completed this years recurrent Haz mat training. The Rule is up to five liters of less than 70% or 140 proof. No Bacardi 151.:(
