No discount if booking with FCC through TA

Alternatively, if they make the booking on your behalf using your FCC then what is in it for them? They would be only assisting you to use up your credit with P&O (not generating a new cash sale with the associated commission) hence the seemingly newly invented agency fee for their services.

 

Or is this theory too simplistic?

 

Makes sense to me, it's not like they'd even get any cash they can hold as part of their bank balance & without commission because it's a rebooking  they aren't earning anything from the transaction & have still got the costs associated with managing a booking etc.
